Hydrotherapy in
Brechin

What Is Hydrotherapy?

Hydrotherapy uses warm water and controlled exercise to aid recovery, reduce pain and build strength. It is ideal for post-surgical rehab, orthopaedic conditions, and weight management, especially for dogs who struggle to exercise on land. The buoyancy of the water supports joints, improves circulation allowing movement without the added pressure on joints.

Conditions We Support

Hydrotherapy can benefit many conditions, including:

Hip or elbow dysplasia
Cruciate ligament injuries
Fractures, joint replacements or patella surgery
Arthritis or soft tissue injuries
Spinal conditions, spondylosis, CDRM
Weight management and general fitness

Each programme is tailored. A signed vet referral is needed before starting any treatment.

Why Choose Underwater Treadmill?

Our specialist underwater treadmill lets us target treatment to your dog’s needs. By adjusting water levels and speed, we can target specific joints and muscles, promote safe weight-bearing, and enhance motion. Warm water (30–32°C) boosts comfort, circulation and healing, while the treadmill’s clear sides help us monitor movement in real time.
